Project details

Mannix Mine solar project will generate 65MW of energy and take up a fenced area of approximately 527 acres on Mer 4 - R 16 - T 40 - S 24 - SE/SW/NE/NW Q Mer 4 - R 15 - T 40 - S 19 - SE Q Mer 4 - R 15 - T 40 - S 19 - SW Q. The longtitude and latitude coordinates are 52°27'18.40"N, 112°10'20.14"W

The project will connect to the electrical grid via ATCO Mannix Mine 765S and consist of 143,119 Longi LR5-72HBD-525-545M 540, 545, 550 Wp, bifacial solar panels on single axis trackers and 19, SMA MVPS 3060 kW inverters.

The site will generate enough energy to power approximately 12,159 typical Albertan households, save 63,559 tonnes of carbon annually, and 1,657,081 tonnes over initial lifetime of the Project.

PACE believes the proposed development is in keeping with the character of the area and makes a vital contribution to addressing the climate emergency. It will also help to mitigate soaring energy costs, increase local biodiversity while supporting Alberta’s rural economies
